Two little monkeys

I have been watching Gabe today, I told Jaxson that when I picked him up from preschool Gabe would be with me and then Gabe was going to come to our house to play. He couldn't decide if he was more excited about 'yellow' day at preschool, or Gabe coming to play after preschool. When we were driving home from preschool Jax and Gabe spotted a tractor. Gabe said "that's a cool tractor" Jax looked at him and said "no Gabe, it's not cool it's awesome man!" Then as soon as we walked in the door Jax informed me that he needed to go put on a "muscle shirt" so that he could look cool. When he put it on he looked at Gabe and said "I look cool huh man." After Jax put on his muscle shirt they decided to play with Jaxson's play food....

Jax: "GABE! That's PLAY food, we don't really eat it! GABE! Im watchin you!"

Gabe: "Im eatin a apple"

Jax: "GAAABE that's not a apple, we are pretending like it's a nectarine!"

Gabe: "I don't like fruit."

Jax: "I know Gabe, but it makes you grow big and strong like me."

Gabe: "Can I have a hundred dollars Jaxy?"

Jax: (eye roll) "Ya Gabe, if you give me 50 dollars."

During this conversation Jax was using his grown-up big boy voice. Or maybe it's his cool voice, I don't know but it's hilarious. After they played with the play food, they helped me make cookies (healthy cookies I might add) Jax kept telling Gabe exactly what to do, and exactly how to hold the spoon when it was Gabe's turn to stir. He told Gabe to listen to him because he is always mommy's cooker so he knows what he is doing. Needless to say, I have not been short on entertainment today. These are my handsome little sous chef's!
