Art project
The other night Jaxson told me that he wanted to pretend to be a scientist and do a project. I asked him what kind of "project" he wanted to do and he said "I want to draw circles on a paper, but Mom I want you to cut dem out, and den I want to draw other stuff on another paper and glue da cirles onto da paper dat I draw other stuff on. Ok Mom?" He said that he needed EXACTLY 4 pieces of paper. He got out his crayons and his glue stick and got right to work on his project. When he had drawn his circles on the paper he told me to cut them out for him. He watched me the whole time I was cutting them out, I asked him if I was doing it right and he said "Uhh...well...sort of Mom...well I guess your doing a pretty good job Mom." When I had cut out all of the circles he started gluing them on and coloring all over the paper. Of course Ella had to get in on this project too, so she sat in her highchair and colored too. When Jax was done with his project he held it up and said "Mom, my project is done. I'm going to call it the conductor one hundred forty five." Who knows where the name of the project came from, but he took it very seriously and was very proud of himself when he had finished.

Hide and Seek
Jax thought it would be fun to play hide and seek this morning, Jax has his own rules for playing hide and seek...for instance, from his hiding spot, he yells "Mom, don't come and look under my bed until I say you can." This is because he doesn't want you to find him too soon. He doesn't care that you know where he is, he just wants you to find him when HE decides it's time to find him. Then it was Mommy and Ella's turn to hide, if you could consider getting into Jaxson's tent with Ella laughing and giggling the whole time hiding, then I guess you could say that we found a great spot to hide. Then Jax decided that it was time to play hide and seek downstairs. From his hiding spot he informed me that I could come and find him now, then 2 seconds later, he told me that he didn't want me to find him yet. He started telling me where I could look for him...which was hilarious. Then after a few minutes he told me that I could look under the table in the dining room because that is where he was hiding. Oh how I wish he could stay this young and innocent forever.
Movie time
Last night Jaxson decided he wanted to watch his dinosaur movie in his playroom (he has been really into dinosaurs lately) when his little sister saw him getting comfy on his elmo couch, she decided she wanted to join him. Jax got up to get "Giraffee" and before he could sit back down Ella had plopped herself down right in the middle of the couch. I was anticipating a fight when he saw her on his couch, but I was wrong. He looked at her and smiled and gently moved her over to one side of the couch, sat down next to her and gave her a kiss and said "Is sissy gonna watch da dinosaur movie with brother?" She grinned and then started jabbering something in her own special language...which nobody understands. It was so cute seeing the two of them cuddled up on the couch watching a movie, I knew Ella wasn't going to last long, she isn't too into movies lately so lucky I took some pictures before she got bored.
