Grumpy and Happy

When Jaxson woke up this morning Nick wanted to go in to his room to get him. Most mornings when Jax comes in to our room Nick has already left for work. So when he has the day off he loves to go into Jaxson's room when he first wakes up. When Nick went in to get him this morning, Jax grinned at him and said "I knew you would come and get me!" Nick asked Jax what his dream was about last night and Jaxson said "It was about me and my daddy having a picnic together." Being the softy that he is, this made Nick absolutely melt. He loves it when Jax says stuff like that to him. Who wouldn't? Meanwhile, princess Ella was downstairs with me. Since she decided to wake up early this morning. I was getting her breakfast for her. I cut up some grapes and gave them to her, which she instantly started shoving into her mouth as fast as she could. Then I gave her some pieces of bread, well this made her mad because the bread was covering up some of her grapes. How do I know this is what was making her mad? Because as soon as I moved the bread away from the grapes, she was fine. I was also feeding her some bites of oatmeal, and if I didn't give her a bite of her oatmeal RIGHT when she wanted it she would throw a princess tantrum. If I tried to give her another bite before she wanted it she was mad. If I waited too long to give her a bite, she was also mad. This was very frustrating since she can't talk, so I had no way of knowing when I was supposed to give princess her next bite! I was laughing at her little tantrums, which probably didn't help the situation. But I couldn't help it! When Nick came downstairs with my happy smiling son, I was glad that ONE of our kids woke up on the right side of the bed.

After Ella got some food in her princess tummy, she was back to being a happy little girl. She is taking a nap right now, and hopefully lunchtime wont be a repeat of our breakfast tantrum. Jaxson is still in a very good mood with no temper tantrums to report from him. Hopefully it will stay this way. Wishful thinking I know, but a girl can dream.
