Preschool fun

When Jaxson woke up this morning he wasn't sure if he wanted to go to preschool today. It took some convincing on my part to get him to go. When I went in to wake him up I told him it was time to get up and get ready for preschool. He opened his eyes and informed me that he did not want to go to preschool today. When I asked him why he didn't want to go he said "because I just don't want to OK MOM." I told him that he needed to go because preschool is his fun thing that he gets to do because he is getting so big and because his teachers and all of his friends can't wait to see him today. He thought about this for a minute and said "well, I DID have a good dream about preschool last night, and I would like to tell Miss Shirley about it." I said that was another reason that he needed to go today, because Miss Shirley would love to hear about his preschool dream. He said "but MOM im just too tired to go to preschool today!" I said ok then you need to go back to sleep. He didn't like that one bit. He said "WELL, I just want to go downstairs and have breakfast mom. Im not too tired for breakfast or toys, or movies." I said if you are too tired for preschool then you are too tired to play with your toys too. He sighed and said FINE MOM! After he had breakfast and got dressed he decided he WAS excited for preschool after all. When we pulled up in front of his preschool he said "Wow mom, we got here super FAST! MOM, did you drive too fast?" I promised him that I went the speed limit the whole time, and that we got to preschool so fast because it is so close to our house. He looked at me for a minute and then said "Ok mom, are you going to get here that fast when preschool is over?" I promised him I would and he gave me a hug and a kiss and walked into preschool with Miss Shirley. When I picked him up from preschool, he got in the car and said "Hey MOM, I have a new friend! You wanna know his name? His name is A.J. and guess what mom, he is the funniest kid I ever seen! Mom, he liked me so much that he said he wasn't going to let me go home today! Funny huh mom!" I told him I was so happy that he made a new friend, and I asked him if he was excited to go back to preschool tomorrow. He grinned and said Ya! Then he immediately had to show me all of the stuff that he made at school today, which included a "pizza" that he had made on a paper plate with paper pepperoni and paper olives. He is quite proud of it.
